Automatic Pilot

A True Story...

A few years back in our North Jersey town there was an accident involving a minivan striking a telephone pole. No one was injured except the driver's brand new minivan and the pole.

When police questioned the driver as to what happened he stated he put the van on "automatic pilot" and hopped in the back seat to grab a soda out of his cooler. As soon as he opened his soda, the minivan ploughed into the telephone pole.

Upon hearing this story, the policeman asked, "You mean the van was driving on cruise control, right?"

To which the owner of the van replied, "Yeah, cruise control, automatic pilot, whatever, same thing."
